Fru Langes Sommersvaler

Fru Langes Sommersvaler is a refreshing summer ale perfect for enjoying on a hot summer day. The beer is named after my wife (Mrs. Lange) and translates to something like “Mrs. Lange’s Summer Cooler”. She wanted a light refreshing beer which didn’t have too high alcohol level.

It is an American Wheat Beer brewed on 55% wheat malt, 28% Carahell and 16% pilsner malt. Since this is a relative low alcohol beer, the amount of Carahell is higher than you would normally use. In order to get a fuller, more fruity taste Mangrove Jack’s Empire Ale yeast is used for fermentation.
